What is Microdermabrasion ?

Microdermabrasion or "MDA" offers a safe, controlled method of skin exfoliation allowing superficial peeling of the Stratum Corneum reducing its thickness through mechanical abrasion of the dead skin cells. Crystals are precisely blasted onto the skin to gently lift off the dead skin cells and the vacuum action removes the crystals and dead skin cells to leave a totally revitalised smooth and glowing skin.

  • Correction: As the flow of crystals directly impinge on the skin the abrasive nature leads to an exfoliation of the skin layer by layer. As smoother, fresher skin emerges it does so without the surface irregularities.
  • Stimulation: A combination of abrasion and vacuum action stimulates micro-circulation. Increasing the skins blood supply providing t with increase nutrients required for the stimulation for fibroblasts required for collagen regeneration.
  • Isometric Exercise: The vacuum function alone can be used to stimulate facial muscles resulting in an immediate lifting effect to the upper brow, cheekbone ad jaw line. This also directly impacts on the lymphatic drainage, allowing for increase removal of toxins and waste products.
